Is the Apple Vision Pro Worth the Purchase

I remember it took me a significant amount of time to save up for an Apple Vision Pro and then came the day when I finally purchased it. I used it for a couple of days, and that is when I realized that, yes, the Apple Vision Pro is worth the purchase.

I’ll tell you everything amazing about the wearable headset, so make sure that you read till the end of the article to make an informed decision on whether you should get one or not. Let’s get started!

Great for Watching Movies On

I won’t lie, having the Vision Pro feels like enjoying my mini home theater. The experience is super immersive I can’t begin to explain it to you. I know paying $3,500 for a headset that plays movies wouldn’t make sense, but you’ll have to experience it once to see how it feels.

Not only is the headset amazing in terms of the visuals, but it produces amazing audio as well. A movie is only fun and immersive when you don’t only watch it but also listen to it. To make the most out of the experience, you should check out all your purchases on Apple TV since it is optimized for the Vision Pro.

However, do keep in mind that you’ll have a little problem with apps that don’t have a cinema mode or aren’t optimized for the Vision Pro. For instance, if you watch something on Paramount Plus, then the experience won’t be nearly as good as watching something on Apple TV.

A Futuristic Design

One thing that had me sold when the headset was first announced was its futuristic design. It definitely looks like something straight out of a Tron movie. The only difference is that the Vision Pro is white, while the helmets in Tron are black.

The Vision Pro features laminated glass paired up with an aluminum body, which gives the headset a futuristic vibe. It also has two headbands and two light seals to ensure that you have the best fit without any external light making its way in.

You may either opt for the Solo Knit Band (which has a better look), or you can go for the Dual Loop Band, which is less appealing but manages the weight on your head a bit better.

Amazing for FaceTime Calls

Leaving my family behind in Mexico wasn’t an easy decision. There is never a moment I don’t miss them. However, calling them on FaceTime using my Vision Pro is no less than a blessing. It feels as if I am talking to them in person, and it makes me feel a little less lonely. They get to see an animated Persona of me, and I feel like that’s a pretty cool feature introduced by Apple.

But, of course, I can’t take away the credit of my super fast Cox Internet for making Facetime calls a breeze. You should also keep in mind that for flawless calls on FaceTime, you must have a fast and reliable internet connection at home. In my case, I reached out to Cox servicio al cliente, and a Spanish-speaking representative hooked me up with an internet connection in no time!

Ever since then, I call my family every single day on the headset, and I’ve never had problems with my calls!

The ‘Mac Virtual Display’

If you’ve played Heavy Rain, then you would be aware of the Added Reality interface (ARI) glasses that FBI agent Norman Jayden uses to investigate the case of the Origami Killer. When I played the game for the first time, I was fascinated by the idea and really wished that tech companies would implement it in real life.

The closest that any company has ever done is Apple, creating the Mac Virtual Display feature in the Vision Pro. This allows you to bring your Mac Book’s display virtually on your headset. This way, you can use your laptop without technically using your laptop. You can use a wireless keyboard and mouse for added functionality.

Though this might sound impractical, once I got the hang of it, I realized that it was a pretty handy feature! You don’t have to keep your laptop on your lap to work. All you need is your headset!

Convenient Modes

The Vision Pro comes with two additional modes, a “Guest Mode” and a “Travel Mode.” The guest mode is useful if you are handing your headset to someone else to try it out. It keeps all your data safe and inaccessible so that you can hand it to your friends, family, or significant other.

The headset constantly tracks the movement of your head so that it can optimize its performance. It gets difficult if you are traveling since airplanes and trains move at high speeds. Therefore, you must switch to travel mode so that the device has an easier time, tracking your motion for better performance.

The Last Bit

The Apple Vision Pro is relatively new now, so it is natural to feel hesitant to invest in it. But with cutting-edge technology, sleek design, and unparalleled augmented reality capabilities, this headset is sure to transform your daily life. If you are ready to experience the future of tech, then wait no more!
