Twitter Trends for Malaysia (Hour: 1)

Go to the Explore page (on the web or app), then select the Trending or Trends tab to see a list of trending topics and hashtags.

In your account settings, go to Explore settings and set your trends location to "Worldwide".
On desktop: More > Settings and Support > Settings and Privacy > Privacy and Safety > Content you see > Explore Settings > Change location to "Worldwide".
On app: Similar steps via Explore settings or Trends tab.

Twitter uses an algorithm to determine trending hashtags by analyzing real-time tweet volume, engagement, and emerging interest. Related hashtags may be grouped into a single trend.

Repeat the steps in your Explore settings or profile to switch trends location back to "Worldwide".
If trends default to your location, toggle off location-based trends and select "Worldwide" manually.

In Explore settings, set your desired city or country to see local trends. Twitter will update trending content accordingly.

Visit the Explore or Trends page on Twitter to see trending hashtags. For deeper or historic analytics, use social tools like trendswe.com/twitter.

Go to Settings > Privacy and Safety > Content you see > Explore Settings > Change location to "Worldwide".
On app: Tap the gear/settings icon in the Trends section and choose "Worldwide".

On iOS and Android: Tap the magnifying glass icon to open Explore, then go to the Trends tab. You can change trend location via the gear/settings icon.

You can�t fully remove the Trends section, but you can mute unwanted topics or switch to a less specific trend location. Some browser extensions also allow hiding trends.

A topic trends when many users post about it in a short period using the same hashtag. Celebrity shares, coordinated campaigns, or viral events can help push topics to trend.
