Why Indian Ancient Knowledge Systems Continue to Matter in Modern Health Education: Insights from Dr. Ambar Pare

His multidisciplinary academic background combines modern health sciences, naturopathy, yoga sciences, health management and holistic health education.

Dr. Ambar Pare believes that health cannot be viewed merely as the absence of disease. Health is also connected with lifestyle, mental balance, social behaviour, environmental conditions, diet, yoga, consciousness and personal discipline. For this reason, Dr. Ambar Pare considers health education to be as important as health services.

His areas of special interest include Indian Scientific Ancient Medical Systems, the Indian knowledge tradition, yoga science, consciousness science, prana science and holistic health thinking. According to Dr. Ambar Pare, India’s traditional knowledge systems are not merely a historical heritage, but can also serve as useful areas of study for modern health education and lifestyle management.

Dr. Ambar Pare’s thinking has been deeply influenced by the guidance of Mahayogi late Gurudev Shri Jamuna Prasad Chaturvedi Ji and the studies inspired by the guru tradition of Mahavatar Shri Babaji. These studies significantly influenced Dr. Ambar Pare’s understanding of consciousness, spirituality and holistic health. The concept of the Indian Ancient Scientific Spiritual Health System, developed through the integration of Indian knowledge tradition, yoga science, consciousness studies and spiritual health science, is also a result of this journey of study and experience.

Dr. Ambar Pare is also associated with the promotion of the Indian Ancient Scientific Spiritual Health System, an integrated framework that combines Indian knowledge tradition, yoga science, consciousness studies, prana science and holistic health education.

The Dr. Ambar Pare Naturopathy Centre, located in Dulia village, Harda district, Madhya Pradesh, serves as an important medium for activities related to health education, public awareness and a holistic approach to health. People from various major cities of India, as well as from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Singapore, Mauritius, United Arab Emirates and other countries, have been associated with this centre.

To ensure adequate time and personalized guidance, consultations are limited to approximately 20 individuals per day and prior appointment is mandatory.

The centre has gradually developed a national and international presence among individuals interested in holistic health, traditional Indian knowledge systems and lifestyle-based health education.

Dr. Ambar Pare has also actively participated in various national and international seminars, conferences, workshops, scientific sessions, academic sessions, training programs and health awareness campaigns. His academic and social activities have been recognized by various institutions. In 2019, Dr. Ambar Pare received the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal Society of Medicine (FRSM), one of the world’s most respected medical institutions. Dr. Ambar Pare has also received several honours, including World Book of Records Recognition, G-20 Civil 20 Seva Summit Honour, Health Care Award and Health Excellence Award.

The G-20 Civil 20 Seva Summit Honour was presented by former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while the Health Care Award was presented by the Health Minister of Madhya Pradesh.

Dr. Ambar Pare’s work is an effort to promote the idea that health is not merely a matter of treatment, but a broader subject connected with education, awareness, lifestyle, consciousness and human development.
